Do participants need prior experience in musical theatre?

• No prior experience is required! Our program is designed for both beginners and experienced performers. Instructors will cover the fundamentals of singing, acting, and dancing, while encouraging creativity and teamwork.

Question 2

Can my child participate if they can’t attend all 3 weeks?

Accepted Answer

• Yes! While the full 3-week program provides the most complete experience and access to main cast roles, students can still join for 1 or 2 weeks and be part of the supporting cast.
 • Keep in mind: To participate in the final performance, students must attend at least one full week plus the in-studio and tech rehearsals on August 1st and 2nd.
 • Need flexibility? Call us! We’re happy to work with your schedule.

What will my child learn during the workshop?

Accepted Answer

• Throughout the 3-week production workshop, students will build skills in:
    • 🎤 Vocal techniques (singing solo & in ensemble)
    • 🎭 Acting fundamentals (character work, stage presence)
    • 💃 Dance skills (musical theatre choreography)
    • 🎨 Creative design (simple props, costumes, and set pieces)
They'll also gain confidence, teamwork skills, and a sense of accomplishment as they work toward the final show!

What does a typical day look like?

• Here’s the daily schedule:
    • 1:45 PM: Check-in & Warm-up
    • 2:00 PM: Workshop Activities (acting, singing, dancing)
    • 3:30 PM: Supervised Snack Break (snacks not provided)
    • 4:00 PM: Rehearsal & Production Prep
    • 5:00 PM: Dismissal

Where and when will the final performance take place?

Accepted Answer

• The final performance of Disney’s Dare to Dream: A Musical Revue will be held:
 📅 Saturday, August 2nd
 🕐 1:00 PM (Doors open at 12:30 PM)
 📍 St. Thomas Episcopal Church and School
🎟️ Tickets:$5 each (limited seating available)

Question 6

What is the difference between the free trial class and the camp itself?

Accepted Answer

• The free trial class is a one-time session designed to give students a taste of musical theater and a glimpse of the camp structure.
 • The Musical Theater 3-Week Production Workshop is a full program where students prepare for a live performance through three weeks of rehearsals, learning, and teamwork.
🎭 If your child attends the free trial class and then enrolls in the camp, they will receive the member pricing!

Question 7

What about costumes? Will they be provided?

• Costumes will not be provided by the studio. Each student will be responsible for creating or purchasing their own costume.
 • Costumes will be simple and easy to assemble, and we will guide families on what to look for. Many items can be found on Amazon or repurposed from clothing at home.
Jazz shoes (preferably tan) are required for all participants.

Question 8

What if my child misses a class? Are makeup sessions available?

Accepted Answer

• Since this is a special summer workshop (not part of our regular season), makeup classes are not available.
 • Each rehearsal is important, especially during Week 3 (dress rehearsals). If your child needs to miss a session, please inform us in advance so we can adjust accordingly.

Are any discounts or payment plans available?

Accepted Answer

• While we are not offering military discounts for this particular workshop, we do provide a 5% sibling discount.
 • If you’re enrolling multiple children, let us know so we can apply the discount to your tuition.
 • We offer personalized payment plans upon request to help make the Musical Theatre Summer Production more accessible. Our goal is to provide flexibility while ensuring your balance is fully paid before the workshop begins, giving you peace of mind.
    • To set up a payment plan, we require:
✔ A card on file for scheduled payments.
✔ A 20% deposit of your total balance to reserve your child’s spot.
✔ A clear payment schedule—you decide when and how much we withdraw from your card.

When and where will auditions take place?

• Auditions will be held at Art & Dance Studio on:
 📅 Saturday, July 19 & Sunday, July 20
 🕒 Times will be shared closer to the date.
The cast list will be sent via email on July 20th, the night after auditions.

Question 11

Does everyone who auditions get a part?

Accepted Answer

• Yes! Every child who auditions and attends at least one full week of the workshop will have a role in the production.
 • Students attending all 3 weeks will be eligible for main cast roles, while those attending 1 or 2 weeks will join the supporting ensemble.
We believe that every performer, regardless of their role, is essential to the success of the show! 🎭✨
