Quetzalcóatl Becerra, a renowned Mexican dancer and choreographer, has captivated audiences with his refined classical and contemporary dance techniques. Now based in San Antonio, Texas, he leads Art & Dance Studio, where he inspires students of all ages through ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop. His dedication to the art form and his engaging teaching style make him a beloved figure in the dance community.

Quetzalcoatl Becerra is a distinguished Mexican dancer, choreographer, and artistic director, recognized for an international career spanning over two decades in both classical and contemporary dance.



Originally trained in Guadalajara, he began his journey in contemporary dance at the age of 18, later expanding into classical ballet and developing a versatile and refined artistic profile. He went on to perform with prestigious companies such as Anzar and became a soloist with Mexico’s National Dance Company (CNDMx), one of the most important ballet institutions in the country.



During his time with the CNDMx, he performed leading roles in some of the most iconic works of the classical repertoire, including Swan Lake, Giselle, The Nutcracker, La BayadĆØre, Manon, and Onegin, collaborating with internationally acclaimed choreographers such as Ben Stevenson, Nelly Happee, and James Kelly.



His repertoire also includes works by legendary figures in ballet history such as John Cranko, Kenneth MacMillan, Maurice BƩjart, and George Balanchine, reflecting a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary traditions.


Beyond the stage, Quetzalcoatl has developed a strong leadership career in the performing arts. He has served as Artistic Director of Ballet Texas, where he contributed to the artistic growth and direction of the company, bringing his international experience and vision to the U.S. dance scene.


Currently, he is the Principal and Director of Art & Dance Studio in San Antonio, Texas, where he leads the artistic vision of the institution, focusing on developing well-rounded dancers through a structured, high-quality training program. Under his leadership, the studio emphasizes technical excellence, artistic expression, and personal growth, shaping the next generation of dancers.
