Itzcali Performance Company honors tradition and culture, like the hummingbird—small but full of vibrant energy. “Itzcali” means “house of obsidian” in Nahuatl—a sacred temple of power and mysticism that symbolizes the inner strength and beauty of our heritage. Obsidian, an ancient stone of protection and transformation, guides every step we take, creating a sacred space where dance flourishes and community comes alive.
